Company's ongoing commitment to providing internet access to remote areas

23 satellites added to constellation, bringing total number to over 3,000

SpaceX has successfully launched 23 second-generation Starlink internet satellites into orbit. The launch took place on Thursday, October 27, at 6:14 pm PT from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg. This is SpaceX's 53rd Starlink launch to date and the second launch dedicated to the second-generation satellites, which are larger and more powerful than their predecessors.

The Starlink constellation is a network of satellites that provides high-speed internet access to remote areas around the world. The first-generation satellites were designed to provide coverage to North America, but the second-generation satellites are expected to provide global coverage. SpaceX plans to launch a total of 12,000 Starlink satellites into orbit.

The launch of these 23 satellites brings the total number of Starlink satellites in orbit to over 3,000. This represents a significant milestone in SpaceX's efforts to provide internet access to people all over the world. The company has already begun providing service to customers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

SpaceX's launch schedule is available on the company's website. The next Starlink launch is scheduled for November 3, 2022.
