A total of 24 teams will compete in the tournament, with the top two teams from each of the six preliminary groups advancing to the main round.
The top two teams from each of the three main round groups will then advance to the semi-finals, with the winners of those matches advancing to the final.
The EHF has also announced that the tournament will be broadcast in over 100 countries, representing a 33% increase from the previous edition.
